I received a strange email today. Coincidentally, it was from my address email, but something felt off. The subject line was also strange.

"Would like to introduce myself - I am a specialized hacker, and have succeeded in hacking your operating system.
At this moment, I have obtained a complete access to account of yours (this is pass from my adress@email : ).
On top of that, I was also unnoticeably observing all your activities and spying on you for few past months.
It was possible because your computer was infected with malicious spyware, which infiltrated your computer while you were visiting a website containing adult videos. . . . . . ."
The gist of it is that a professional hacker successfully hacked into my computer and monitored it for several months, collecting my personal and sensitive information.
They will then give you a certain amount of time and ask you to send them the desired amount of Bitcoin to a Bitcoin address. Never give in. They are, in fact, a blackmail scammer, and your computer is safe. However, if your computer's security has been lax, I encourage you to take this opportunity to check it.
This email is a cyberattack known as email spoofing or Hoax Mail. Malicious attackers disguise themselves as legitimate senders and spoof the "From" address in the email, making the recipient believe it's from a trusted person or organization. This is commonly used in phishing attacks to steal personal or financial information, and can also lead to malware infections by tricking recipients into clicking on links containing malicious attachments.
Avoid opening suspicious emails and clicking on attachments. If you can't shake the feeling that your personal account has been hacked, change your password or implement additional security measures. Most emails are threatening, designed to extort money using false or misleading information. They're particularly vulnerable to requests for ransom money from Bitcoin addresses, which are easily accessible for money laundering. Never fall for these messages and delete them immediately.
